Was The iPhone 4s A Big Disappointment at the “iPhone 5″ Media Event?

February 29th, 2012

Last year when Apple had their media event to announce the latest and great iPhone 5 – actually, what everyone thought was going to be the iPhone 5 – what we really got was the iPhone 4s.  For weeks, and months even, the world was expecting, talking about, blogging about, and anticipating nothing less than an iPhone 5 from Apple.   But when Apple took the stage and announced the iPhone 4s, instead of the iPhone 5, was the news really that bad?

After the initial announcement of the iPhone 4s, the media was a bit disappointed that it wasn’t the iPhone 5.  Even Apple’s stock price took a temporary dip on the NASDAQ.  This was primarily due to the fact that investors were also looking forward to the iPhone 5.  But the iPhone 4s was announced, Apple stock prices dropped, and the world went on a rampage.

But it wasn’t too long after the iPhone 4s announcement that the world re-calibrated itself and Apple got back to doing what it does best – dominating the world of smartphones and tablets with their iPhone and iPad devices.  So the hit was temporary when Apple announced the iPhone 4s, but people (customers, investors, and users) got back to being in love with the Apple brand and even moreso their beloved iPhone 4s.
