Pre Paid iPhone 5′s – Could It Be?
Somehow, Cincinnati Bell’s website was showing some iPhone 5 deals, along with the cheaper iPhone 4S. Who’s Cincinnati Bell, you ask? Well, not only are they not a major phone carrier, but they actually deal in the world of pre paid phones.
Say what? The iPhone 5 is going to be available as a pre paid phone?
Hold on to your horses folks. First, nothing solid can be confirmed at this point about anything regarding the iPhone 5. Apple’s “keep everything secret” policy just about guarantees that. But the other thing is that the iPhone 4S would make a whole lot more sense being offered as a pre paid phone, not the high end iPhone 5.
However, imagine for a moment if the iPhone 5 does in fact hit the pre paid phone market. This means Apple would be opening up the flood gates to have just about every carrier, and every type of carrier, to carry the iPhone 5. This would be a huge break from the traditional iPhone 5 offering strategy.
No worries however, because the iPhone 5 keynote speech is set for October 4th (only 2 days from now). And we are sure to have a lot more answers as to what Apple intends to do with the iPhone 5 from a carrier exposure point of view.
